Cian's life took a turn she never would have expected. When she recovered from her faint a few moments later she found Tara kneeling on the ground next to her. The two spent the better part of the night talking. Tara was not an ancient back then, not even close. She took pity on the inquisitive child, and took her under her wing.

The best way to explain Cian's new job, was that of personal attendant. A gopher of sorts really. Tara brought in the kind of healer that Cian and her mother could never hope to hire, and her 'condition,' which turned out to be heart related, was fixed. She was well behaved, curious, quick witted and pampered, almost like a favored pet.

She didn't realize it at the time, but she was slowly being groomed as a candidate for siring. Given access to books, and knowledge, even real lessons from an actual teacher. Within a year of being fixed by the Healer, she was also taking lessons in weapons with others of noble birth.

She was ghouled when she was old enough. When she had stopped growing and maturing as a human at the young age of 18. Sure she still breathed, and her heart still beat and she still had to eat and drink, she was stronger than the average human. Her aging process halted, immune to human disease and illness. Her healing increased but not horribly so, and she continued to learn and train, learning the ways of nobles, being accepted by them, and becoming Tara's personal guard during the daylight hours, as was a ghouls duty.

She was of course Sired eventually, before she past 100 years, but after she had fought many battles, in many wars. Her mother, who stayed as a kitchen worker even after Cian began her servatude to Tara, also passed away before she was Sired and her status was raised to that of personal bodyguard during Tara's awake times. Shadowing everywhere she went, becoming Tara's most trusted confident, companion and sometimes even her enforcer.
